NES came into being in the year 2000. Presently, the organization works in rural area of Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal .
NES is a social and economic empowerment initiative. Most importantly, it attempts to eradicate female discrimination and provide gender equality. This will allow women to have an equal share in the continual growth of their country. To do this, NES is providing an education that will allow women to become economically dependent and socially enlightened which, in turn, will create a society in which all children will have an opportunity to grow to their fullest potential.
Education, Women Empowerment and Vocational Training has been the primary areas of intervention by the organization in these communities. Health care, environment interventions and community participation are also being run for promoting integrated community development services
